Pitt’s Cal Adomitis Named to Patrick Mannelly Award Midseason Top Performers list

Pitt senior long snapper Cal Adomitis was named to the Patrick Mannely Award Midseason Top Performers list on Tuesday.

The award is presented to the top long snapper in college football and Adomitis is one of four long snappers that was put on the midseason list. He has appeared in 57 consecutive games, was a semifinalist for the award in 2020 is and is considered as one of the top candidates for the award this season.

Along with Adomitis, the list of players recognized include Damon Johnson of USC, Colorado State’s Ross Reiter, and Arkansas’ Jordan Silver.

Off the field, Adomitis recently launched “Cal’s Kids” which is looking to raise $94,000 for UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was also named to the 2021 Allstate American Football Coaches Association Good Works Team, which recognizes student-athletes for their community service off the field.

The list of finalists will be narrowed down to three on Nov. 29, and then the winner of the Mannely award will be announced on Dec. 11.
