Die-Hards: More Details on Michael Dowell Not Coming to Pitt
Some significant news occurred Thursday night that got buried a bit because of the reports regarding Frank Cignetti Jr. becoming Pitt’s next offensive coordinator.
Michigan State linebacker/safety transfer Michael Dowell, who had committed to and signed with Pitt, will now not become a member of the Pitt football program.
Thursday night, Dowell released this tweet announcing that after “unforeseen circumstances”, he wouldn’t be coming to Pitt.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I will not be attending University of Pittsburgh. I am still in the transfer-portal looking for a destination. I am a grad transfer S/OLB with 2 years of eligibility left. Contact me for further information/interest.

Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that up until this tweet, he had been on campus working out with the Pitt team.
