Die-Hards: Panther Tracking

Published

on

It’s not unfair to say that the landscape of college football has never been more unpredictable.

The transfer portal, NIL opportunities and instant eligibility (for first-time and graduate transfers) have opened up a world in which free agency is alive and well in college football. Even old-school coaches like Pat Narduzzi have adapted to the times.

Pitt has already lost a handful of players to the transfer portal, lost a handful of verbal commitments (and offered even more in wake of said decommitments) and will continue to have a very, very busy offseason.

There will be Pitt coaches offering high school and college athletes every day, wheeling and dealing behind the scenes, and players — and both the high and school level — will cycle in and out of the program.

With so much movement and so much happening behind the scenes, instead of offering updates when by the hours, Pittsburgh Sports Now has decided to start Panther Tracking for Die-Hards subscribers.

If Pitt coaches are in contact with or offer a player in the transfer portal, it’ll be in here. If a high school or college player is making a visit to Pittsburgh, it’ll be in here. Any interesting, relevant news will be in Panther Tracking on a nightly basis.

It may not always be good news, but it will be news surrounding deals around the recruiting landscape.
