It appears as though Pitt is still open to adding another playmaker to their 2023 roster.
California University of Pennsylvania standout wide receiver JaQuae Jackson announced that he’d received an offer from Pitt. Before starring at California PA, Jackson attended Serra Catholic High School.
Back on March 24, Jackson announced that he was entering the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. Last season for California PA, the 6’3″, wideout caught 77 passes for 1,178 yards and 13 touchdowns. In 2021, Jackson had 58 receptions for 744 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Pat Narduzzi and Tiquan Underwood aren’t the only schools interested in Jackson as he’s also received offers from NC State, UNC Charlotte, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Colorado, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, Liberty, Georgia State, Temple and South Florida.
At a recent Junior Day held at Cal U, Jackson was clocked running a 4.41 in the 40.
This is an interesting offer from Pitt, as Jackson has similar size and speed as current Panther wide receiver Bub Means. Pitt currently holds a spring wide receiver depth chart of Means, Konata Mumpfield, Daejon Reynolds, Myles Alston, Addison Copeland, Che Nwabuko, Lamar Seymore with Zion Fowler and Kenny Johnson arriving in the summer.
