Pitt Makes Most Recent Cut for Recently Offered 2024 3-Star IOL Kahlil House

Houston County High School is becoming a key place for Pitt’s coaching staff to recruit these days.

A few days after three-star wide receiver Ricky Johnson announced he will be taking an official visit to Pittsburgh in June, his teammate Kahlil House has named Pitt to his Top 12.

House — a 6-foot-4, 295-pound three-star interior offensive lineman from Houston County in Warner Robins, Georgia — narrowed down his nearly 30 offers to just UCF, Georgia Tech, Missouri, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Duke, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Louisville, Stanford, Virginia Tech and Pitt.

“I want to thank all the coaches and college recruiting me thus far,” he wrote on Twitter. “It’s been an honor and a blessing. With that being said, I would like to announce my top 12.”

Pitt is a very late addition to House’s recruiting process, jumping into the fray just 10 days ago as Archie Collins extended an offer on May 18. It’s the latest offer he’s received — not just amongst his Top 12. But there’s clearly a mutual interest, and it’s not hard to see why Pitt’s coaching staff is interested.

As a key guard at Houston County last season, he had a bit of an uncommon role in high school football. As part of a high-powered offense that threw the ball over 400 times, he was able to work on pass protection — along with his expected mauling in run blocking.

With elite 2025 quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. under center, and a Pitt wide receiver target in Johnson out wide, he’s played some serious high school ball.

247Sports rates House as the 774th-ranked recruit in the class (49th-ranked interior offensive lineman and 88th-ranked recruit from Georgia) while On3 rates him as the 740th-ranked recruit in the class (54th-ranked interior offensive lineman and 87th-ranked recruit from Georgia).

Rivals hasn’t rated House yet, but he does hold a 5.5 Rivals Rating.

Pitt may still be a bit too late to the party, however, as he’s already scheduled official visits to UCF (June 2), Cincinnati (June 9), Ole Miss (June 12) and Louisville (June 16). Pitt would likely need to secure his fifth and final official visit to realistically advance the relationship.

Pitt currently holds commitments from three-star Jiavani Cooley and three-star Adham Abouraya in the class of 2024, and there will likely be two more added.
