On Wednesday, Pitt basketball made Dayton transfer Mike Sharavjamts top five.
Sharavjamts, also known as “Mongolian Mike,” is the first Mongolian Division One athlete. He recently entered the transfer portal after one season at Dayton, and has now trimmed his list to five: San Francisco, Pitt, Indiana, Memphis, and Nebraska.
Sharavjamts is a 6-foot-8 forward who averaged 5 points per game as a freshman at Dayton. He also recently entered the NBA Draft process, but later withdrew.
Pitt recently earned a commitment from high school forward prospect Papa Kante, and will return forwards Jorge Diaz-Graham, Guillermo Diaz-Graham, and Federiko Federiko. The Panthers currently have one open scholarship.
