The Dallas Mavericks announced that former Pitt guard Nike Sibande has earned a spot on their NBA Summer League roster, the team announced on Wednesday.
Sibande has been added to the roster headlined by first round pick Dereck Lively, who played for Duke last season. The Dallas Mavericks have a five-game Summer League slate that kicks off on July 8, with a matchup against Oklahoma City at 3:30 p.m. EST on ESPN2. The full Mavericks Summer League schedule can be found at the bottom of this story.

Sibande, the 2023 ACC Sixth Man of the Year, averaged 8.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for Pitt this past season, which was his sixth year in college hoops. After beginning his career at Miami (OH) for three seasons, Sibande then spent three years with Pitt.
He played 14 games in the turbulent 2020-21 season for Pitt. Then, in an exhibition game just ahead of his second season with the team, Sibande tore his ACL, sidelining him for the entirety of the 2021-22 year. He then returned to Pitt for a breakout season this year, shooting 43% from the field and throwing down numerous highlight-reel dunks along the way.
