Pitt running back commit Yasin Willis.

It’s been nearly one month since the Pitt Panther football program has received a commitment.

Back on June 29, Virginia 3-star offensive lineman Moritz Schmoranzer announced that he was joining Pitt’s Class of 2024, but things have been quiet since then.

That has the chance to change today.

2024 4-star running back and major Pitt target Yasin Willis will announce his college decision tonight at 8 PM.

Willis has kept his recruitment information very quiet and unlike most recruits, hasn’t even a list of finalists. Although this didn’t come from Willis, a website that follows Rutgers is reporting that he will be choosing between Rutgers, Alabama and Pitt. Along with these three schools, Willis holds offers from Michigan, Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Penn State, South Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Willis (6’1″, 220-pounds) attends St. Joseph’s High School in Montvale, New Jersey. In 11 games last season, Willis collected 1,133 yards and 17 touchdowns.

If Pitt lands Willis, he would become the highest rated recruit in their Class of 2024, which already has 3 Rivals 4-star recruits.

Despite not receiving a commitment in a month, Pitt’s Class of 2024 still has a No. 25 national team ranking by Rivals.com.
