Alliance 412 Names Doug Whaley Senior Advisor of Player Administration

Pittsburgh alum Doug Whaley is partnering with Alliance 412 to assist Panther student-athletes. On Monday, Alliance 412 named Whaley as their Senior Advisor of Player Administration.

A 1994 Pitt alum and Upper St. Clair native, Whaley currently serves as the XFL’s SVP of Player Personel and has been with the league since December of 2018.
“I am very thankful to Chris Bickell and the Alliance 412 staff for offering me an opportunity to join the team,” Whaley said on social media. “This is a welcomed chance for me to give back to the student-athletes at the University that shaped me into the person that I am today. I am looking forward to providing a best-in-class experience for our student-athletes.”
Whaley led the Buffalo Bills as General Manager from 2014 to 2017 and previously worked with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a pro personnel coordinator from 1999 to 2010. He appears weekly on 93.7 The Fan during The Fan Morning Show for “Wednesday’s With Whaley” to talk all things football.
Alliance 412 is Pitt’s leader in creating NIL opportunities for student-athletes to assist current and future stars benefit off their name, image, and likeness.
