This weekend ended with a victory for Pitt football, as they took their first step to turning around this 2023 season after their worst start since 2005.

The most important thing that took place was Pitt breaking that four-game losing streak and doing so against No. 14 Louisville Saturday night at Acrisure Stadium. The win is the highest ranked win for the program since No. 2 Miami on Nov. 24, 2017.

The second thing is that the Panthers won that game in front of number of important, talented recruits at home. A large majority of the players making visits for the game underclassmen, getting their first experience of Pitt football.

While the weather wasn’t ideal for a visit, the players in attendance didn’t seem to mind and left the game with a positive impression of Pitt football.
