On Saturday afternoon when Pitt hosts South Carolina State, the Panthers will roll out a new-look starting five.

According to statbroadcast.com, the Panthers (7-3, 0-1 ACC) will start Bub Carrington, Ishmael Leggett, Will Jeffress, Blake Hinson, and Guillermo Diaz-Graham. This lineup places five-man Federiko Federiko and wing Zack Austin on the bench. The two had previously started all ten games to start the year.

Jeffress has started 20 games in his collegiate career, with 16 coming in 2021-22 and four coming in 2020-21. In 15.3 minutes per game this year, he is averaging 3.2 rebounds per game. Against West Virginia, Jeffress played a season-high 26 minutes, grabbing nine rebounds, earning one steal, and blocking a shot.

Diaz-Graham started three games in his freshman season last year while Federiko was injured. This year, he is averaging 7.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game while shooting 41% from three-point range.

The Panthers tip off against SC State at 2 p.m. on ACC Network.
