Recently, the Duquesne basketball staff extended a scholarship offer to a prospect in the class of 2024, late in his recruitment process.
The Dukes’ staff offered Keshawn Fisher, a 6-foot-6, 17-year-old wing out of River Rouge High School in Michigan. As of Jan. 31, Fisher was averaging 25.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for his high school team, while also shooting 51% from the field and 36% from three-point range.
Fisher, according to his Twitter page, has only been playing organized basketball for two years, and has clearly improved rapidly in his short career.
One day before he received an offer from the Dukes, Fisher picked up his first Division One offer from Florida Gulf Coast. According to Jake Lieberman, Fisher has been receiving interest from Evansville, Marquette, Xavier, Monmouth, Wofford, Youngstown State, Buffalo, Stetson, MVSU, Incarnate Word, and more.
The Dukes currently have two commitments in the 2024 class, Dom Aekins and JUCO prospect Brandon Hall. Hall, a 6-foot-4 guard, recently tore his ACL during a game. He told PSN that he is not sure what exactly his injury timeline is.
