Wednesday’s Best ESPN BET Bets: Saint Louis-Duquesne, Capitals-Oilers, Lakers-Kings
A positive night for the Winning Picks Tuesday, finishing 2-1. The under covered in Penguins/Senators have the teams combined for 2 goals in regulation before Ottawa won it in overtime. Boston College hammered Miami and covered, sending the Hurricanes into an early offseason. The Clippers led for parts of the game but failed to cover or win against the Timberwolves. We moved to 199-146-3 on the year.
As we head towards the NCAA Tournament next week, there are two projected underdog teams that I am very eager to bet on that have already punched their ticket. They are James Madison and Morehead St. I also really like McNeese St as well, but they will need to win tonight to make it official.
Even though I like both JMU and Morehead, I will still need to see who they face in the opening round. The Dukes are projected to be a #11 after winning the Sun Belt while Morehead St is currently a #14 seed. As we know, this can all be different by Sunday, but if these teams have a favorable matchup, fire away on them.

Saint Louis Billikens at Duquesne Dukes (-8.5) O/U 146.5 7:30 PM on USA Network
Duquesne will need to win 4 games in the next 5 days if they want to make it back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in nearly half a century and it starts tonight with Saint Louis. The Billikens won a close game yesterday against Rhode Island to advance to face the Dukes. And Duquesne can’t sleepwalk through this game, as they lost to La Salle in this same spot in last year’s tournament.
Watching these games at the Barclays Center, teams have had a hard time getting shots to fall. Saint Louis/Rhode Island missed 17 foul shots yesterday alone. That is why I am going with the under tonight in this game. Look for the Dukes to put a stranglehold on the Billikens and move onto the next round to face Dayton.

Washington Capitals at Edmonton Oilers (-290) O/U 6.5 10:00 PM on TNT
Two teams that have recently beaten the Penguins matchup in western Canada as the Capitals visit the Oilers. Over the past week and a half, both Washington and Edmonton have combined to beat Pittsburgh 16-1 over 3 games. That is crazy when you think about it.
As for tonight’s game, like the game above, I love the under in this one as well. The Oilers are coming off an East Coast Road trip while, outside the Penguins shutout, the Capitals really haven’t put up much of the fight. I like Edmonton to win a low scoring game tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers (-2.5) at Sacramento Kings O/U 237.5 10:00 PM on ESPN
The Lakers have been playing better as of late as they try to make a push out of the play-in tournament, where they are currently seeded 9th. They have a chance to improve their standing tonight when they face off against the Kings in Sacramento.
Over the last few decades, it has been LA that has had Sacramento’s number but not this year. The Kings have a chance to sweep the season series for the first time since 2015-2016. You know LeBron James, even at his old age, isn’t going to let any team, especially Sacramento, sweep him in the regular season. That is why I like the Lakers to win and cover tonight against the Kings.
