Sights & Sounds: Pitt Offensive Line Power Featuring Transfers

PITTSBURGH — Following Pitt football’s first scrimmage of spring camp on Saturday, the Panthers returned indoors for practice No. 6 on the South Side.
The offensive line is an important area of focus this offseason for the Panthers. The program welcomed in three transfer in Jeff Persi from Michigan, Kendall Stanley from Charlotte and Keith Gouveia from Richmond.
Persi and Stanley are competing for the left tackle job, while Gouveia is working as the No. 1 left guard right now. Lyndon Cooper at center, BJ Williams at right guard and Ryan Bear at right tackle are the linemen taking first-team reps.
The Pitt offensive line was in full force Monday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex, working on power out of their stance, guarding the rush, perfecting double teams and snapping the ball.
