The Pitt men’s soccer program has achieved another milestone.
The United Soccer Coaches Poll released their preseason rankings on Thursday and the Panthers find themselves ranked #3. That spot is the highest preseason ranking for the Panthers in the history of their program. Last season, Pitt started the season ranked No. 4.
Being ranked is nothing new for Pitt as they’ve found themselves ranked every week since September 22, 2020, which equals 20 straight weeks.
This new achievement can be added to everything the Panthers accomplished last season like winning their first ACC Coastal Division title, their first appearance in the College Cup and being ranked No. 1 in the country for the first time in program history.
Pitt opens their exhibition season on August 14 when they host Robert Morris and their regular season opener is August 26 at home vs. Duquesne.
