On Thursday, the Pitt hoops program is hosting two 2023 prospects for the football program’s big game against West Virginia.
Ladji Dembele and Ty-Laur Johnson, two prospects from New Jersey, are both taking official visits, per Andrew Slater.
Johnson is a 6-foot-2 guard who will play his high school ball at Our Saviour Lutheran in the Bronx, New York this year, after playing last season for St. Benedict’s in New Jersey. Johnson is ranked as a four-star prospect and is the No. 82 prospect in the country, per 247 Sports. The rising senior is known for his toughness and overall offensive ability from the point guard position.
