Last year: Played in all 14 games for the Panthers and made two starts after returning from a horrific offseason knee injury that caused him to miss the entire 2017 season.
Stats: Made five catches for 42 yards as Pitt’s passing offense sputtered down the stretch.
Accolades, Highlights:
Camp outlook: In a new passing offense, Pitt’s slot receivers such as Tipton and Maurice Ffench should have a much larger opportunity than they did in 2018.
Projected role: Tipton is probably in line to start or at least share time at receiver.
