California OT Jacob Gamble to Visit Pitt Tomorrow

Pitt football spring practice continues tomorrow morning and they’ll have a visitor from the state of California.
Ventura Junior College offensive tackle Jacob Gamble (6-foot-6, 305 pounds) tells PSN that he’s flying to Pittsburgh tonight so he can visit Pitt tomorrow.
“I’m originally from the Akron area of Ohio and graduated high school in 2015. I then took a couple of years off of football and went to go work at some factory jobs and then I was like I want to get back into it. I then ended up going to Ventura in California,” said Gamble.

”I’ve been talking with Pitt for the past two months and specifically Coach Salem for the past month. He’s telling me that they’re looking for some O-lineman and he loved my film. Hopefully, this visit will help build a connection and I can check out the team and see if there’s any interest.”
“Being from Akron, I used to always love going to Pittsburgh and I loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. I know some of the guys on Pitt like Bryce Hargrove on the offensive line and I know quarterback Ricky Towns, who just transferred there from Ventura,” said Gamble.
Gamble was teammates last year with Towns, who he described as a “baller” and a “hard nosed player.”
“Ricky told me he loves the campus and said it’s absolutely phenomenal and that the facilities are really nice and the coaches are really cool.”
At this point, the only offer that Gamble holds is from UAB but tells me that he is hearing from California, UCLA and Ohio State, who he said they’d like him to come make a visit.
