Tomorrow will be a big day on the field for Pitt as they try to earn win #8 on the season and also off as they host a number of junior recruits.

Dayton, Ohio’s Tavion Thomas (6-2, 220) will be one of the many recruits in attendance at Heinz Field.

“I’m very excited to visit Pitt. Last year, I never thought I’d be in this position where I’m being recruited.  It’s a dream come true!,” said Thomas.

I’m looking forward to a great time and a great game Saturday.”

At this point, Thomas holds one offer ( Central Michigan) but is hearing from schools like Michigan State, Wisconsin and Purdue.

“Pitt has been in constant contact with me since the start of the season and have been very consistent in recruiting me. According to the coaches, they like my size and ability to run the ball between the tackles and my breakaway speed,” said Thomas.

When you watch film on Thomas his skill level just stands out to you. Considering his size and speed, it’s kind of surprising he doesn’t hold any Power 5 offers. That could change tomorrow.

“I think there’s a really good chance that they offer tomorrow. Well I hope they do. They are known for liking bigger running backs. An offer from Pitt would be a blessing, words can’t really explain. I’m just excited thinking about it now.”
