ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — When it comes to the remaining Pitt targets for the Class of 2019, which will begin to sign letters of intent in just one week’s time, Aliquippa’s M.J. Devonshire is right at the top of the list.

Devonshire, rated as a four-star prospect by 247 Sports, played both ways for the Quips on their run to the 2018 PIAA Class 3A title. He projects to be a cornerback at the next level, where he can use his elite quickness (Devonshire ran a 10.83 in the 100 meters as a junior).

Pitt was one of the later schools to reach out to Devonshire, extending him an offer in late May, but it seems the Panthers are in good standing. Devonshire said he expects to take an official visit to Pitt, along with some combination of Indiana, Ohio State, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

Devonshire plans on taking his visits and making his decision in January, after the early signing day. Here’s PSN’s exclusive interview with one of the top players in the WPIAL and one of Pitt’s top targets:

Sandy Schall, Coldwell Banker
