Class of 2020 Westinghouse defensive lineman Dayon Hayes will take his official visit to Pitt this week, he told Pittsburgh Sports Now on Monday.
Hayes, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound lineman, is rated as a consensus three-star prospect and the No. 3 player in the state of Pennsylvania.
Pitt has been heavily recruiting the City League star, with Pat Narduzzi’s mysterious tweets about Wendy’s french fries a thinly veiled recruiting pitch, as that’s where Hayes works after school.

He’ll join an impressive list of visitors for the second of Pitt’s June official visit weekends. The Panthers received five commitments from the first weekend that just ended and have nine players committed in total for the Class of 2020.
Hayes told PSN that he is scheduled to start his visit on Thursday, a day earlier than most of the out-of-town visitors.
