It didn’t take long for Ryan Murphy to decide on where he’ll be playing his final season of college basketball.

A day after releasing a final four list of BYU, UC-Santa Barbara, East Carolina and Tulane, Murphy announced on Twitter Thursday morning that this upcoming season that he’ll be playing for Tulane.

Murphy will graduate from Pitt this spring and be immediately eligible to play for the Green Wave in his final season of eligibility.

A 6-foot-2 shooting guard, Murphy shot 33.1% from 3-point and averaged 7.6 points per game in 30 games (12 starts) with the Panthers in 2019-20 after transferring to Pitt from New Mexico Junior College.

Murphy told PSN that a reduction in his playing time in the second half of the season was a driving factor in his decision to transfer.

“I just felt that I needed and wanted to go in a different direction going into my senior season,” he said.

Tulane will be Murphy’s fourth college team in the last four seasons, as he started his career at Charlotte, then moved on to New Mexico Junior College and thenn to Pitt and will finish out his career at Tulane. In his career, Murphy has averaged 7.3 points and shot 35.7% from 3-point range.
