Published

on

The ACC previously announced Pitt football’s opponents for the 2020 season and now we know when they’ll play as the conference has released the dates for those games.

Pitt is scheduled to play 10 ACC games along with 1 non-conference opponent. Miami (Ohio) was on Pitt’s original 2020 schedule and it was announced today that they will remain as the Panthers home opener.

Here is the revised 2020 schedule with dates for the Pitt and it begins with an unusual twist as the Panthers first 4 games will be at Heinz Field.

September 12:  vs. Miami Ohio
September 19:  vs. Syracuse
September 26:  vs. Louisville
October 3: vs. NC State.
October 10:  at Boston College
October 17:  at Miami (FL)
October 24:  vs. Notre Dame
October 31:   Open
November 7:  at Florida  State
November 14:  at Georgia Tech
November 21:  vs. Virginia Tech
November 28:  at Clemson
December 5:    Open
December 12 or 19:  ACC Championship Game (Charlotte, North Carolina)

The Pitt athletic office also is reporting that the University of Pittsburgh is working in concert with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Heinz Field on communications with the Governor’s office regarding the possible accommodation of fans for home games this season. More information is anticipated later this month.

Lines up nicely as the first 5 games are all winnable and would get us off to a great start. Getting Miami after Clemson steamrolls them can’t hurt, neither can getting Clemson the last game of the season. We do have a penchant for end of the season monumental upsets… Still only see 7 wins max though.
