Die-Hards: 2022 Pitt Recruits to Keep an Eye On

Published

on

In terms of on the field competition, the 2020-21 college football season is over. Nick Saban and Alabama are once again the champions after crushing Ohio State, 52-24, in Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship.

That means the sole focus of college staffs for the next couple of months will be wrapping up their recruiting classes for this season and find a way to recruit for the Class of 2022.

I said find a way to recruit because coaches are still not permitted to host players on campus nor are they allowed to make recruiting trips. We’re entering the time where coaches would be out visiting or evaluating juniors and also hosting recruits on ‘junior day’ weekends. That is not going to happen this year.

These restrictions also have a major impact on recruits because of not being able to see various programs in person as they prepare to make one of the biggest decision of their lives.

Nonetheless, both coaches and players will be forced to adjust because recruiting will go on as we found out Monday night as Pitt landed their second commitment for the Class of 2022 in Maryland DT/FB Elijah Statham.

The next time the ‘Pat Signal’ comes out, here are some players that you should keep in mind as possible commitments.
