After entering the transfer portal on April 26, former Pitt senior offensive lineman Carson Van Lynn has chosen a fellow ACC school to call his new home, Duke University. Duke broke the news via Twitter Tuesday morning.
Van Lynn played in 36 games at Pitt, including eight starts. He started five games at tight end in 2018 to provide depth after starting the season at offensive tackle. Van Lynn switched back to offensive tackle in 2019 and served as a reserve. In 2020, the Worthington, Ohio native started three games at right tackle.
Van Lynn could fill an open spot right away with the Blue Devils, as right tackle Devery Hamilton graduated and signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent.
