Report: Pitt Currently Hosting Five-Star Wing MJ Rice on Official Visit

Published

According to a report by Jason Jordan of Sports Illustrated, Pitt is currently hosting a five-star wing on an official visit.

MJ Rice is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound small forward who transferred from Oak Hill, where Pitt commit Judah Mintz will play, to Prolific Prep, another highly-ranked national prep program. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Rice is ranked as the No. 22 player in the class of 2022.

While multiple crystal ball picks have Rice choosing the professional route, he has listed Pitt among the schools that are recruiting him the hardest to multiple different outlets in the past few months.

Rice will undoubtedly be a tough recruit to land for the Pitt staff, but the fact that Rice took the official trip to campus certainly shows that there is some sort of interest from his side as well.

Rice is a powerful wing who has one of the best all-around games in the nation. The five-star has been on the national recruiting radar for years boasting his ever-growing skill set at each level he has played at.
