Pitt Offers Recent Visitor, Top Pennsylvania Sophomore Malachi Palmer

Published

on

On Tuesday night, Jeff Capel extended an offer to one of the top players in the state of Pennsylvania, Malachi Palmer.

Palmer is a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who plays his high school ball for Central Dauphin. Palmer, who was ranked by ESPN as a top-25 prospect in the initial 2024 rankings, holds offers from Pitt, Illinois, Houston, Creighton, Arizona State, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, LSU, Georgetown, DePaul and New Mexico State.

Almost two weeks ago, Palmer visited Pitt unofficially alongside several other prospects to check out the Panthers’ first football game.

Already standing at 6-foot-6, Palmer has elite size for the guard position to go with athleticism that is beyond his years. The sophomore prospect has shown the ability to score at will throughout his young prep career, and has mixed a smooth jump-shot with effortless jumping ability to bring his game to new heights.

More offers from Coach Smoke and Mirrors. In 2 years this kid will be committing to Illinois, DePaul or anywhere but Pitt. The real question is will Capel still be at Pitt in 2 years?
