Tracking The NCAA Football Transfer Portal Moves and Decommitments: November 29

Published

on

The close of the 2021 college football season means the NCAA Transfer Portal will be as busy as ever with players deciding to leave their current teams. With National Letter of Intent Day approaching in a few weeks, players will also be making the move to decommit. Pittsburgh Sports Now will be attempting to keep you updated on players that decide to make these moves. Our attempt will be to keep an eye on local players, players that received offers from Pitt and players that leave big Power Five programs via transfer and decommitments. Get ready because this will no doubt be a wild next couple of months.

**Terrence Lewis is a 2021 5-star prospect from Miami and held an offer from Pitt.

**Former Georgia Tech 2020 4-star running back Jahmyr Gibbs has entered the Transfer Portal.

**2020 OL Terah Edwards has decided to transfer from Northwestern. The Ohio native held an offer from Pitt.

**Former Kentucky OT Jake Pope has decided to transfer from Kentucky. Pope is from St. Thomas Aquinas and held an offer from Pitt.

**2020 offensive lineman Gerald Mincey was recruited previously by Charlie Partridge and Pitt.

**The fallout from the departure of Lincoln Riley continues for Oklahoma as they lose 2022 4-Star DE Derrick Moore from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland.

**Kansas State wide receiver Tyrone Howell announces that he’ll be transferring.

Hopefully a strong finish to the season could lead some of these guys to making a move to Pitt. It’s a long shot, but if we can get an established QB through the portal it could be the difference between falling back to the crowd or establishing ourselves at the top of the conference.

I could see that happening in years past, but I don’t think that happens this year. I think we’re in for a battle between Beville/Yellen/Patti. With all the talent we have at the skill positions and (hopefully) continuity at OL, gotta think one of them can succeed. If a veteran like Holmberg (just a convenient example) wants to come and improve his draft stock, I’m all for it.

Spencer Ratler would be an excellent fit for Pitt next year. Pitt would be very wise to reach out to him.
