Pitt men’s basketball will host Missouri in the 2023 ACC/SEC Challenge this November.
The Panthers welcome the Tigers to the Petersen Events Center on Tuesday, November 28 at 7 p.m., five months from Wednesday. It will mark the first meeting between the two programs.
Jeff Capel’s team finished 24-12 overall in Pitt’s breakout season, including two NCAA Tournament wins. Blake Hinson, Federiko Federiko, and the Diaz Graham twins will all return to the Panthers along with four freshmen, highlighted by Jaland Lowe, and two transfers. Ishmael Leggett (16.4 ppg) and Zach Austin (14.1 ppg) bring experience on both ends and the ability to score the basketball through the portal.
The ACC battles against the SEC after concluding its yearly challenge with the Big Ten during the 2022-23 campaign. Other notable matchups include LSU at. Syracuse, Miami at. Kentucky, Tennessee at. North Carolina, and Duke at. Arkansas.
Missouri concluded last season 25-10 overall and 11-7 in conference play. The Tigers won its opening game in the NCAA Tournament before losing in the second round.
