The Pitt Panthers will attempt to get their 2023 season back on track this Saturday when they return home to face the nationally ranked Louisville Cardinals.

No. 14 Louisville will come to Acrisure Stadium undefeated with a record of 6-0 and coming off an impressive domination of formerly No. 10 ranked Notre Dame.

Returning home means that Pat Narduzzi and his program will be hosting recruits on unofficial GameDay visits.

One of the players that will be coming to check out the Panthers will be from a talent rich school in Ohio.

2025 defensive back Tyson Long, from Pickerington, Ohio, will one of the many recruits in attendance. Long (6’0″, 170-pounds) is currently getting recruited by Pitt linebacker coach Ryan Manalac.

At this stage of his recruitment, Long doesn’t hold an offer from Pitt but does from Kentucky, Akron, Marshall, Miami Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan.

Long was in Morgantown this year for the Backyard Brawl and also attended Pitt’s Junior Day back in January.

“I feel like I have a good relationship with Coach Manalac about football and outside of football,” Long tells PSN. “Every time we have a conversation, he asks how I’m doing in football and outside of football, it seems to me Coach Manalac likes to build actual relationships with players. He and I are actually from the same area so it’s actually cool to see that. This will be my third time at Pitt, and I will mainly be looking at the small details of the program and coaches to see how I would fit in with the team.”
