Four 2026 WPIAL Stars Included in the Rivals Top250

While the WPIAL class of 2025 is just now entering the spotlight, it’s never too early to look ahead. The class of 2025 has some playmakers, but it’s looking like the class of 2026 may have even more potential.
Rivals released its first Top250 list Tuesday, and the WPIAL is well-represented — as is the City League. Matt Sieg (Fort Cherry), David Davis (Imani Christian), Kyshawn Robinson (Westinghouse) and Da’Ron Barksdale (Steel Valley) all cracked the Top250.
There will be a bunch more WPIAL and City League kids who receive major interest in the months and years ahead, but four in the inaugural Top250 is a solid start. The level of talent in Western Pennsylvania hasn’t been as high in the last decade, but there are still plenty of talented recruits who live and play in the area.

Sieg has had a rapid rise to prominence since last fall, leading Fort Cherry to a WPIAL quarterback, and he’s listed as a 6-foot, 170-pound athlete — with quarterback and safety as potential options at this point.
He’s rated as the 142nd-ranked recruit in the class and holds offers from Akron, Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Davis played alongside the top WPIAL recruit in the class of 2025, Dayshaun Burnett, last season at Imani, and he has a high ceiling in his own right. He’s listed at 6-foot, 165 pounds and holds positional versatility as an athlete.
He’s rated as the 172nd-ranked recruit in the class, holding offers from Akron, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia and Virginia Tech.
Robinson is the top prospect in the City League, and like his fellow Western Pennsylvania stars, he’s also considered an athlete at this point. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound athlete has blown up over the last few months.
He’s rated as the 224th-ranked recruit in the class, holding offers from Akron, Colorado, Florida, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, South Carolina, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Toledo, UNLV, USC, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Barksdale is the next in a line of Steel Valley stars, including his older brother Donald (class of 2025), and the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder is another versatile athlete that has long since held major Division I interest.
He’s rated as the 225th-ranked recruit in the class, holding offers from Akron, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, UNLV and West Virginia.
