All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2021 training camp roster.
50 • Jason Collier Jr., redshirt sophomore offensive guard
Last year: In his second season on the offensive line after moving from tight end, Collier did not play in any games.
Stats: Collier has not yet seen game time at Pitt. In high school, he caught 29 passes for 487 yards and four touchdowns during his junior and senior seasons from 2017-18. He also recorded 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four sacks, and four forced fumbles during that time.
Camp outlook: The 6-foot-6, 340-pound New Jersey native isn’t the only one trying to make a shift to offensive guard work. Senior Keldrick Wilson, who joined Pitt as a graduate transfer last season, played three season as an offensive tackle at Hampton and was a reserve tackle last year.
Projected role: Along with Blake Zubovic, Collier and Wilson will likely be Pitt’s top depth options behind starters Jake Kradel and Marcus Minor.
Accolades, Highlights: At West Deptford High School in New Jersey, Collier was named first team All-Colonial Division. He was also rated the nation’s number 14 Tight End “Y” prospect and New Jersey’s number 13 overall prospect by ESPN
