Pitt’s senior punter Kirk Christodoulou has added another accolade to his impressive career as he was named a first-team Preseason All-American by Pro Football Focus on Monday. Last season, PFF named Christodoulou a second-team All-American, and he was a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award, given to the nation’s best punter.
The Melbourne, Australia native has served as Pitt’s starting punter since the beginning of the 2018 season, playing in 38 career games. Last season, Christodoulou posted a career-high 44.7 yards/punt on 53 punts, and the net average of 41.94 was a school record. He was an All-ACC honorable mention last year, and was named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team for the third year in a row.
Christodoulou is joined by a teammate on PFF’s Preseason All-America team, sophomore defensive tackle Calijah Kancey.
