Cornerback Jason Pinnock Commits To Pitt

Last weekend, Pat Narduzzi and staff hosted a large number of talented 2017 recruits on official visits. Windsor (CT) cornerback Jason Pinnock (6-foot, 180 pounds) was amongst the dozen players who made the trip to Pittsburgh. Afterward, the former Boston College pledge raved to Pittsburgh Sports Now about his visit. When we asked him if he ever felt like committing during the visit, he stated, “Yes, I can’t lie. No doubt. No doubt. From the facilities, to the coaching staff, to the city of Pittsburgh, to the recruits, everything felt like home.” Pinnock even indicated that his mother was ready to sign Coach Narduzzi’s class of 2017 ‘commitment football’.

Pinnock woke up today and decided, “Today is a great day to be a Panther!”

“I sent out a text to Coach (Renaldo) Hill last night and told him where my head was at (on Pitt). As they say, Pitt is it. I wanted to make it official today,” he said. “Purdue came by on Monday morning and scheduled an official visit and Notre Dame should be at my house today. Actually (chuckling) they should have been at my house right now! Ole Miss has been contacting me over the last three days and I turned that one down too.”

“The guys (the commits), the team, the coaches, everything made me feel like home. It was the perfect situation for me.  I’m excited to be a Pitt Panther.”

Pitt has already received a commitment from Munhall (PA) Steel Valley HS safety Paris Ford and Lakeland (FL) cornerback Damarri Mathis. With the commitment of Pinnock in hand, the Panthers are finished recruiting 2017 defensive backs.
