Doug Biega Joins PSN’s Basketball Coverage

Pittsburgh Sports Now has made a championship-level addition to our staff.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve hired former Beaver Falls head coach Doug Biega to join our site.

Before retiring in 2017, Biega was one of the most successful coaches in Western Pennsylvania.

The 47-year old won four WPIAL championships, two PIAA titles and in his 18 years at Beaver Falls, Biega finished with a career record of 378-115. During his long tenure, the only WPIAL coach with more wins was Chartiers Valley’s Tim McConnell.

As a highly successful former basketball coach, Biega will provide a unique perspective to our coverage. He’s won games, drawn up plays in the huddle and put together game plans for opponents.

Biega will have a big role here at PSN and will bring plenty of insight and added credibility to our Pitt, Duquesne and WPIAL basketball coverage. He’ll breakdown what’s happening with Jeff Capel and Keith Dambrot’s teams and give video thoughts and insight in our PSN Die-Hard material.

From time to time, Biega will take you on the court and give you some on court examples of things he’s seeing. He’ll be providing you with a coach’s look at things.

If you’re a basketball fan of Pitt, Duquesne and WPIAL hoops, you’ll want to make sure you’re a PSN Die-Hard member. Biega will bring you exclusive and insight from a championship level coach. It’ll be well worth the money.
