He averaged 14.3 points per game in 2019-20 after scoring 10 points per contest as a redshirt sophomore in 2018-19. He also averaged 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals per game, all increases from his first season at Duquesne.

Weathers joined the Dukes in 2017 along with head coach Keith Dambrot. Weathers had to sit out the 2017-18 season at Duquesne after transferring from Miami (Ohio), where he made 11 starts in 32 games as a freshman and averaged 9.7 points per game.

Since regaining his eligibility with Duquesne, Weathers had made 60 starts out of 62 games.

Weathers had already been named to the second-team All-Atlantic 10 team.
