More details have been released regarding the upcoming Pitt Blue-Gold Spring Game. The game this year will take place on Saturday, April 24 at Heinz Field with a kickoff of 1 p.m., with the game moved back a week after the Pitt program was paused for COVID-19 positive cases in the middle of spring workouts.

The Pitt Athletics department announced on Thursday that they plan on a maximum of 5,000 fans to attend the game. Those who attend will be required to wear masks will in Heinz Field. Seats will be set up in socially distant pods of 2 to six people throughout the lower bowl of the stadium.

Admission for this game will be free but first priority will be given to Panther Club members (based on priority points), Pitt football season ticket holds and Pitt Varsity Letter Club members. Starting Thursday, fans wanting to attend can request a maximum of six tickets. Members of these groups will receive a separate email containing an exclusive promo code to use when making their ticket requests.

Pitt is reminding everyone that the deadline for prioritized requests is Sunday, April 18. If seats are still available after this time, general public requests will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis beginning on Tuesday, April 20 at 10 a.m.

The Pitt Team Store and concessions will be open and the Spring game parking will be available for $10 in the Gold lots on the east side of Heinz Field.
