Die-Hards: Early Contenders for Pitt’s 2024 NFL Combine Participants

Published

on

It was a very successful week for Pitt’s contingent at the 2023 NFL Combine, and while the 2023 NFL Draft is still about two months away, it’s never too early to look ahead.

It seems unlikely that there will be a Calijah Kancey — who now appears to be locked into a first-round selection — among next year’s crop of Pitt stars out in Indianapolis for the 2024 NFL Combine, but the week in Indy could certainly offer quite a few current players the chance to bolster their draft stock.

Now, let’s also preface this by saying that we have no idea what will happen over the next 12 months. Kancey and guys like Habakkuk Baldonado, Carter Warren and SirVocea Dennis may have been easy choices at this time a year ago, but it would’ve been tough to project underclassmen like Israel Abanikanda and Brandon Hill.

There are the guys on the current roster who make sense from a prior history and production standpoint, but there are also breakout candidates and talented underclassmen to consider, too.

So, let’s look at a few players who have the potential to be in Indianapolis representing Pitt next year at this time.
