Nick Marsh will make his college decision tonight at 5 p.m., and his choice will be either Kansas, Michigan State, Penn State, Pitt and Oregon.

Marsh — a 6-foot-3, 200-pound four-star wide receiver from River Rouge High in River Rouge, Michigan — isn’t just one of the top uncommitted wide receivers in the class of 2024 but one of the top receivers in the class as a whole.

The one-time Michigan State commit holds offers from nearly 40 schools, but he narrowed down his choice to the finalists listed above. He made official visits to Pitt (June 2), Penn State (June 9), Kansas (June 15) and Michigan State (June 23).

Pitt first offered Marsh way back in 2021, with Archie Collins extending an offer on Nov. 12, 2021, and while it didn’t appear as if the relationship had advanced, Tiquan Underwood managed to land an official visit.

And the visit went well, with Underwood and the coaching staff rolling out the red carpet for Marsh during the course of his three-day visit.

It’s not hard to see why Underwood and the coaching staff have prioritized Marsh in the class of 2024 either.

For his efforts as a junior at River Rouge, Marsh earned first-team All-State honors. In just two games listed on MaxPreps, he racked up nine receptions for 146 yards (16.2 yards per reception) and a touchdown.

As a big, rangy wideout, Marsh’s contested catch ability stands out on film. He’s a playmaker with the size, speed and strength to turn any catch into a touchdown.

247Sports rates Marsh as the 100th-ranked recruit in the class (16th-ranked wide receiver and the third-ranked recruit from Michigan) while Rivals rates him as the 54th-ranked recruit in the class (11th-ranked wide receiver and third-ranked recruit from Michigan).

On3 rates Marsh as the 120th-ranked recruit in the class (21st-ranked wide receiver and the third-ranked recruit from Michigan).

It appears that Michigan State is the favorite to once again land Marsh’s talents, but Pitt has managed to remain a legitimate darkhorse in his process.

Pitt currently holds a commitment from four-star DayDay Farmer and three-star Cameron Monteiro, and Marsh would be an elite pairing in the class of 2024. The coaching staff is also prioritizing four-star Zy’Marion Lang — who visited June 22-24.
