Pitt is in position to land two 4-star recruits this week.
4-star offensive tackle Ryan Baer gave a commitment to the Panthers on Thursday and on Saturday another highly ranked player that the staff has pursued will be making his decision.

4-star linebacker Travious Lathan tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will make his decision tomorrow afternoon at 3 PM and will be choosing between Pitt and West Virginia.
Making his final two is impressive for Pitt considering Lathan also held offers from programs such as LSU, Oregon, Arizona State, Boston College, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia.
PSN asked Lathan what allowed Pitt to make his final two?
”We always had a good relationship,” said Lathan. “They’ve always kept in touch and always expressed how bad they want me.”
Pitt was the first school that Lathan made his official visit to back on June 4.
WVU for Lathan and everyone knows it!!! Ugh
WVU was his choice. What a bummer. It’s bad enough that Narduzzi is getting way out-recruited by James Franklin/Penn State but now by a rebuilding West Virginia team.
This guy really looks like he’s going to be a star player — not just because he’s 4-Star rated.
Not going to lie, if Narduzzi didn’t land the Baer kid earlier this week I’d be here just destroying him right now after another big miss.
And the Duzz misses another one…..What’s his selling point? Come here enjoy a 6-6 season? We have players from before your grandparents were born in the HOF? We can make you an undrafted free agent? Losses on the recruiting trail show up as losses during the season. H2P.
