Two months after picking up an offer from Pitt, high-flying forward Dominick Barlow has now scheduled an official visit to check out the program and all it has to offer on from June 22-24.
“I am looking forward to seeing the campus and getting a feel for it,” Barlow told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “I know people aren’t on campus now, but just getting a feel for what the school is about. Just being able to see it in person.”
A few days after he received his offer from Pitt, Barlow already appreciated how often Pitt’s staff kept in touch with him. Now, almost two months later, he is still in constant contact with the staff, whether it be Jeff Capel or Assistant Coach Tim O’Toole.
“It is great,” he added on Wednesday. “They still call me almost every day. I am just trying to expand on that. Hopefully everything feels the same in person and we can just keep moving forward.”
Barlow is a 6-foot-9 forward that prides himself on his ability to contribute on both sides of the ball.
“My best strengths are my athleticism and my motor,” Barlow told PSN back in April. “I always play very hard and I would say I am a good teammate. I have a good ability to space the floor that not many 6-foot-9 guys do. I can shoot the three ball, too. I don’t have Steph Curry range, but I can shoot the ball. And defense, that is probably the best aspect about myself. I have the ability to switch onto guards in the pick and roll so I think that is something that will help me play at the next level as early as possible.”
