On the eve of their final official visit weekend of June, Pitt has added a big name to their guest list.
2023 four-star safety Jaremiah Anglin told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he’s decided to travel to Pittsburgh for the weekend. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound safety from Lake Wales, Florida holds an impressive offer list of Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, Kentucky, Alabama, Penn State, Louisville, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Cincinnati, South Carolina, Nebraska, Indiana and Central Florida.

The recruiting experts have Anglin being a lean towards either Florida or Florida State, but he has enough interest in Pitt to come for an official visit.
“Well, Pitt had offered me a while back and I didn’t know too much about them besides there were a couple of guys from my county that went to Pitt and did well there,” Anglin told PSN. “So I actually looked into how they have did the past couple years and numbers don’t lie. Also, the staff has been real solid on making sure they stay in touch and come see me during the spring and made it known that I was one of their top guys. Coach Sanders and Coach Collins have been recruiting me and I’ve talked to the head coach Pat (Narduzzi) and they basically tell me I have the mental and physical gift to play right away and be an impact player if I go out and work for it.
“To be honest, there isn’t really anything specific I’m looking to see,” Anglin said. “Overall, I just want to get a great feel for the campus and see if I can see myself there for the next 3-4 years!!
Anglin tells me that Pitt is recruiting him as both a cornerback and safety and have also been impressed with his play at wide receiver.
While on his official visit, Anglin tells PSN that he will drop a Top 8 tomorrow but mentioned a few schools high on his list are Florida State, Kentucky, Alabama and Jackson State.
Recruiting is 80% name recognition I promise. Florida State is always in on top guys but haven’t done jack squat in recent memory 🧐
Derwin James is his cousin so Florida State will be very hard to beat. Wouldn’t shock me if Prime Time threw a big bag of cash and he ended up at JSU
