Pitt Unveils Road Uniforms for Virginia Matchup

Published

on

Pitt’s quest to win the month of November started with a win against Syracuse last weekend, and the next stop on the road is Charlottesville, Virginia for a road game against Virginia.

Pitt will wear classic road uniforms against Virginia, donning gold helmets with a blue stripe, white jerseys and gold pants — as modeled by Marquis Williams.

Virginia is in the midst of a difficult season, as former conference-leading quarterback Brennan Armstrong has failed to live up to lofty expectations.

Despite challenging North Carolina last week, falling just short in a 31-28 loss, it was still UVA’s sixth loss this season. The Cavaliers are 3-6 (1-5 ACC) this season, with losses to Louisville, Duke, Miami, Syracuse and UNC.

Pitt is 9-4 all-time against Virginia dating back to an inaugural 26-0 win back in 1953. Pitt has won six of the last eight matchups, including a 48-38 win over UVa last season at what-was-then Heinz Field to secure the ACC Coastal title. Kenny Pickett and Jordan Addison combined for four touchdowns in the key win.

The Pitt-Virginia matchup will kickoff at Scott Stadium at noon on Saturday. For those not in attendance, the ACC Network broadcast will feature a crew of Chris Cotter (play-by-play), Charles Arbuckle (analyst) and Lericia Harris (reporter).
