Pitt QB Kedon Slovis Inks NIL Deal With Upper Deck

Published

on

Kedon Slovis has benefited from the NCAA passing name, image and likeness legislation, signing with Klutch Sports and partnering with American Eagle since last summer, and he’s added another deal.

Slovis has signed an NIL deal with Upper Deck, a trading card and authentic apparel sports corporation, to produce autographed Pitt apparel.

With the partnership, Slovis will have autographed apparel and fan items for sale. With footballs, helmets and photographs ranging from $149.99 to $449.99.

An autographed University of Pittsburgh replica football is selling for $199.99 while an autographed authentic Wilson football is selling for $324.99. An autographed Pitt helmet is selling for $299.99 while an authentic Pitt helmet is selling for $449.99.

An autographed Backyard Brawl poster is selling for $149.99 while an autographed and inscribed Backyard Brawl poster is selling for $199.99.

In his lone season at Pitt, Slovis has completed 166-of-287 passing attempts (57.8%) for 2,135 yards with seven touchdowns and eight interceptions. It’s been a trying season for both Slovis and Pitt’s offense as a whole, but he has two games left this season before deciding upon his future.

While Slovis is a senior, he does have the opportunity to return to Pitt for another season if he chooses.

Hmmmmmm… I don’t see that being a big seller outside of the Slovis family.

Is this a joke?

I saw Rally House had KS tee shirts. I would guess they sold less than 30 of them.

Paris Ford would sell more.

If K.Slovis plays Miami, a Bowl game, and ten to twelve NCAA P5 games next Fall his Totals will exceed Pickett’s who is Career Leader at PITT in most Stats.
… USC and Slovis 2020 Season was only 6 games in COVID Year.

How about we Block for him, give him something other than Play-Action, and pick up the pace between Snaps. We’ll run 200 plays less than what we did a Year ago in all likelihood, and the Defense is still 50th. Offense went from Top 5 to around 60th.

The guy will have over 10,000 passing yards and about 70 passing touchdowns under his belt going into next year. I don’t care what the rationale is, nobody throws for 10,000 yards and 70 touchdowns who just sucks and needs to be run out of town. How about a little less emotional posts and look at how they can change to best utilize his strengths. People once wanted Pickett to be benched. He needs more consistent blocking and more opportunities out of shotgun. A 5th year will be great for him.

I concur. The guy’s got the talent. If they open the throttle up and increase pace between plays we could have another “High Octane” offensive year like 21’. Points per game are Down, with Senior laden Team and self-described depth it’s unclear why Ball Control and time of possession was a motive. Every announcer praised PITT’s depth, and we went at a snail’s pace.

OL can’t pass protect and Slovis can’t go through progressions.

Quit blaming Slovis’ shortcomings on the offensive line. Count how long it takes for Slovis to make a decision. There is only one major problem with this team and Narduzzi won’t say it or change it.

How about Credit our Opposition in those four Losses. UTK made timely defensive plays including hurries and sacks (including with Patti in OT). GaTech Charlie Thomas was disruptive in 2nd Half. Louisville Defense came up big in 2nd Half and hurries/sacks/strips. UNC QB was playing lights out without Cancey DT available in 2nd Half. … With conservative situational OC play calling, almost predictable, the QB play is not the root-cause. We Call plays based more on Score, ball control, and how the Defense is playing rather than marching it down the field with intermediate pass routes. You would think you… Read more »

What talent does Slovis have?. His running ability? His throwing actuate passes? His quick reaction? He is the worse QB I’ve seen at PITT since 1961. I really feel badly for what Narduzzi did to Patti this season.

Apparently you did not agree with Beano Cook in regard to the Paul Hackett / 2nd Johnny Majors Years of the early 90s. Likely not John Ryan’s fault alone but since you dwell on W/L we’ll pin it on him.

Many times I wished he would have tucked it and taken off, something Pickett did often.

Who wanted Pickett benched?

Did you watch the 2018 ACC Championship game in Charlotte Clemson? Small hands (gloveless that sloppy rainy night) had 8 Yards on 16 attempts.

Here comes old man slovis riding in on his horse….buddy your kid stinks. Guy looks like he closes his eyes and throws blindly half the time. Pitt would have done better with the rough and tough Nick Patti.

We’ll line you facing right and let a 6’2” 230 lb. blind side edge impale you in the middle of the Back like in UTK and Louisville games. Then we’ll see if you have an internal clock on those eyes or doubts. The guy gets pooped on for throwing INTs, then pooped on again for holding on to it. PITT has used a Pro Style QB for the longest time, less a few Read Options by Rod. Is that purposeful? Do we have to Sell recruits on cohabitation with the Steelers and Pro style Coaching alone. Maybe that is a… Read more »

Here we go again. Blame everybody but the root cause. Ask yourself would Pickett win more games with this team? Would we have won more games with a mobile Patti? The obvious answer is YES!
I am so upset with this season and what it could have been, I want to spit!
