WATCH: Pitt Football Spends Time at Biggest Animal Shelter in PA

The Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh is the largest animal shelter in Pennsylvania, helping about 20,000 animals a year, and some Pitt Panthers spent the day there last week.
Nate Temple, David Green, Brandon George, Shayne Simon spent some time with the dogs, cats and other animals of HARP, bonding with the animals and giving a bigger platform to one of the largest animal rescues around.
“I think as a whole, these dogs are loving animals, they’ve already had a rough patch, but at the end of the day, they’re gritty, they’re tough and we try to be like that on a daily basis,” George said. “Have love for each other and have that little edge, that little oomph. But at the end of the day, we care.”

Last week, a group of our guys had the opportunity to visit @HARPSavesLives, the largest animal shelter in PA.
It is truly incredible the work they do to support animals in need.
