Another game is on the slate for Dru Joyce III’s Duquesne Dukes.
According to scheduling insider Rocco Miller, the Dukes will travel to UC Irvine to take on the Anteaters this upcoming season. The two teams will play on Saturday, December 21 at Bren Events Center.
Duquesne men's and women's basketball on PSN is sponsored by Moon Golf Club.
Last year, the two teams faced each other at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. Duquesne won the game 66-62 behind 15 points from Andrei Savrasov and 11 from Dae Dae Grant.
Duquesne, coming off of an NCAA Tournament victory and an A-10 Championship, will have a new-look rotation next season. Joyce and his staff have built a strong roster behind four transfer additions so far: Williams (Furman), Crawford (Marshall), Corbett (Chicago State), and Dinkins (Canisius). The Dukes will look to returners David Dixon, Kareem Rozier, Jake DiMichele, Jakub Necas, and others to continue to build upon the momentum built last season.
Joyce is heading into his first career season as a college head coach. He takes the reins from Keith Dambrot who led the Dukes to an NCAA Tournament appearance and upset win over BYU.
These are exciting times for DU B-BALL!!
