PITTSBURGH — Following Pitt football’s second day of spring camp Thursday, a trio of players spoke with the media on the South Side.

Linebacker Kyle Louis, offensive lineman Ryan Baer and safety Javon McIntyre discussed moving on from the 2024 season, new roles entering another year in the program and more.

Check out each of the press conferences from the Pitt players below:

A First-Team All-American in 2024, Louis may be one of the best linebackers in the entire nation in 2025. He was the 100th Pitt player to earn that honor and first sophomore defensive player in Pitt history to earn First Team All-American distinction since Panther legend Hugh Green did in 1978.

The East Orange, N.J. native was ultra impressive and arguably produced the best season in Pitt history at linebacker. Louis recorded 101 tackles, led the the team with 15.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four interceptions, including a 59-yard pick-six against Syracuse. He finished third in ACC Defensive Player of the Year voting.

McIntyre is now a veteran piece of Pitt’s secondary with Donovan McMillon and P.J. graduating. In 2024, McIntyre started 11 games at free safety as he compiled 51 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and three pass breakups. Recorded six tackles, an assisted tackle for loss and two pass breakups against North Carolina as he was named to the PFF ACC Team of the Week.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Baer, Del. native will be a redshirt senior in 2025 and has appeared in 41 games, while starting 20.

Baer tied for the team lead in offensive snaps during the 2024 campaign. He started the season at right tackle and moved to the left side when Branson Taylor went down for the season with an injury. He took 308 snaps at left tackle and 545 at right tackle.

The Eastlake, Ohio native is entering his redshirt junior season with 22 career starts under his belt.
