The Duquesne men’s basketball team finally had some good news come their way.

Sophomore wing Maceo Austin was back with the team and took part in their Sunday afternoon practice. Austin has been absent from the team for the last week because of personal reasons.

A source told Pittsburgh Sports Now that despite returning to the court today, the team doesn’t have a timetable for when Austin will return to game action. PSN has been told that Duquesne coach Keith Dambrot will take this situation “very slow” and want to be both protective and respectful to Austin and what he’s going through.

A team source said that the return of Austin was “very good for the team” and it “energized” them because he’s a very well liked and respect player on the Duquesne team.

Duquesne is currently 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the A-10, following their 62-48 loss on Friday at St. Bonaventure. The Dukes are next in action on Wednesday when they host Rhode Island.
