The Pitt football team officially starts their 2021 season on Saturday when they host UMass and they’ll also be hosting a pretty big recruit.
Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that Perry 2022 4-star defensive end Tyreese Fearbry will be attending the game on an unofficial visit.
This visit is important for Pitt because the talented defensive line prospect has been a priority recruit for Pat Narduzzi going back to the start of last season. Fearby made a commitment to Penn State in July but has since de-committed and is reportedly wide open in terms of a future program. Since opening back up his recruitment, the latest offer that Fearbry has gotten was from Tennessee.
Fearbry hasn’t spoken lately concerning his future plans or of his next commitment time frame.
Pitt very much wants to add Fearbry to their stable of young, talented, local defensive lineman such as Dayon Hayes, Nahki Johnson, Elliot Donald, Dorien Ford and 2022 commit Sean FitzSimmons.
