Over the weekend, North Hills star forward Royce Parham continued his ascent in the high school basketball ranks, earning an offer from the Big Ten’s Wisconsin Badgers.
Parham stands at 6-foot-8 and excels on the court for both North Hills and Team Durant, a Nike program with players from all over the East Coast. Throughout the spring and summer, Parham has been shining for his 16U Durant squad.
“This means a lot to me because I am very blessed and grateful to be in this position to get scholarships and live out my dream,” Parham told Pittsburgh Sports Now after receiving the offer from the Badgers. “This also means a lot to me because this will increase my stock and have other schools wanting to recruit me and make me and my family proud.”
As a sophomore at North Hills, Parham averaged over 20 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks per game, leading the Indians to a 26-2 record on the year. Since that stellar second-year campaign, Parham has seen his recruitment reach new heights.
He now holds offers from Wisconsin, Pitt, Penn State, Duquesne, RMU, VCU, Rutgers, Xavier, TCU, and George Mason. Additionally, programs such as Texas, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, West Virginia Rhode Island, and more have reached out to him in recent weeks.
